I never took Bjork seriously as an artist. I formed an opinion of her without even knowing her work…which proves how ignorant I was. After seeing her body of work, I have enormous respect for her unique talent and vision. I wonder if there are any artists who can bring music and fine art together like she can. No doubt, she is one of the multi-talented artists, if not the only one, who can bring the visual and the audio realm into one unique and personal body of work.
What a lovely and funny bear! I will definitely watch it again with my daughter.
The moment I drove into the park I just fell in love with it. I’ve never experienced anything like this. In a wide open field with giant trees and meadows stood steel sculptures. Instantly, this sculpture park became my favorite.
I had a great time wandering around the museum. I especially enjoyed the Medieval and Ancient Egyptian art. Allegorical and religious paintings with weirdly disproportional figures often bothered me and made me think they are ugly and less worthy, but this time I was able to overcome my shortcomings and look beyond my visual preference. For the first time, I was able to connect with the Medieval as well as the Ancient Egyptian art.
I highly recommend using the audio guided tour. It makes a big difference.
This wasn’t what I was exactly looking for…I went there for school and office supplies, but this show had a lot of greeting cards and wedding cards. It’s not too much to say it is “The Greeting Card Show.” Here is their website: www.nationalstationeryshow.com
i had so much fun!
You don’t get to see it from this angle in textbooks.
My favorite from the Louvre.
